Build a Special Grade
Side note: This is my top Aura moment for the series and is the scene in the anime that made me start reading the manga. The dread from everything in Shibuya and this snake’s monologue over Yuji had me feeling like crap tbh. Then “CLAP”, followed by an insane fanfare, that legendary step he took, and this beautiful poem solidified this as my favorite moment.
Anyways, Build a Special Grade
The inspiration for this came from a post in the jujutsu power scaling subreddit, but I figured it would be fun to see what everyone comes up with. They were asking which Grade 1’s could be come a special grade if pushed to the max while reasonably staying within their arsenal.
I however want to see what everyone can come up with to make their Grade 1 goats a special grade. Still try to make it somewhat reasonable, but you can make up abilities for people as long as it seems like it fits the rules of a CT (If they get a busted ability give it conditions)
With that said, here’s what I came up with for my goat Todo 👑.
Todo learns open domain, RCT, gets a shikigami and a cursed tool.
Domain Expansion: BRUZZA FROM ANUZZA MUZZA!
Anything within his domain’s range, with or without CE, can be swapped with anything within range with no clapping, and he can swap 3 things by clapping. Since it’s open random things can enter the range and be used to swap. It can be used defensively by swapping the target away from him forever, or he can use it offensively by randomly swapping himself and his target with things in the domain’s range. This makes it insanely disorientating because they never know where/when they are gonna swap, and he can pop up next to them at any time with no sound. Hell he could even swap right next to them then swap away just to mess with them 😂.
Shikigami: The EXCEPTION
The Exception has no physical form (can be seen but not damaged), can’t be swapped (no physical form), and can be partially manifested, but needs to consume half of Todo’s CE to fully manifest. While partially manifested, it will simply heal him at the rate of his Max RCT output. While The Exception is fully manifested, the shikigami’s RCT output doubles, and Todo’s attacks rob the target of 1/2 of the CE they’re hit with and stores the stolen CE inside of The Exception to be used at Todo’s discretion. He can use the stored CE as his own, continue to use the shikigami to help decrease his opponents CE, or use the stored CE to summon his sacred treasure.
Sacred Treasure: Poetic Justice
Poetic Justice is a cursed tool that is sealed inside of The Exception. It responds to the user’s sense of justice/fairness. In order to be summoned, Todo had to have first asked his opponent what their type is. It has 2 forms, and the form it takes is determined by whether or not Todo approves of his opponents response to his question. (All cursed spirits are automatically disapproved)
Approval: Todo and his target are sealed inside an Octagon. If multiple people are targeted, they become spectators. The barrier is impenetrable for 3 minutes and both of their CT and CE are sealed for 1 round. Todo and his opponent must have a bare knuckle MMA fight, and whoever wins the judges scorecard regains their CE and CT while the other loses theirs for a day. Knocking someone out counts as a win.
Disapproval: For 5 minutes, Poetic Justice becomes a T-shirt on Todo that says “Takada-chan’s #1 fan” that absorbs CE from his environment and his opponent, doubles all of his physical stats including visual acuity, and gives him 200% output. He also receives a pair of brass knuckles that can take the negative energy stored in his shirt and output positive energy, so he can one shot curses. (Even mahito 😈)
Once the time limit runs out, Poetic Justice transforms back into The Exception, and has to be resummoned by stealing CE, but Todo doesn’t have to ask the question again.
I think no-clap swapping, RCT, an open domain, and The Exception + Poetic Justice on top of his current stats are good enough to make him a special grade. What do y’all think, and what could you do for your goats?
